How do I play modded Keen's?

I'm new here.

I am a big fan of Commander Keen series.

I played it a lot whe I was a child, it was my favourite game, but I only played until commander keen 6.

Now, I see there are 7, 8 and 9

I need to play them!!

The problem it's I'm very noob with all.. I downloaded these games but can't run them..

How could I do it?
I read something about Dosbox, but don't know what's this and how to use.. and my english is very poor.. ((

You can run those games with DosBox.

I myself prefer this build, as it has user-friendly menu:

Download --> DOSBox SVN builds --> DOSBox SVN 0.74 (1. 11. 2012) For Windows

Run it -->


Go to "Main --> Quick Launch"
Then browse for Keen exe file and here you go (you can use alt+enter for fullscreen/window swap). After you quit Keen type "exit" at the black DOS window to exit DosBox.[/img]
