P.S. I'm gonna release a demo version + a demo video soon as well. And if you think the title screen isn't too good, you can fix it for me if you want.
The world map really needs more different tiles to break up the monotony. Same with the dirt tiles. The yellow + dark blue theme is a nice idea but it doesn't really work and some of the tiles can really hurt the eyes/look confusing.
But this is very bad tilework. They doesn't match smoothly, creating chess-like look that is more of eye-pain than an actual tile image you feel part of.
A totally agree with NoSpike about mono-look of things...
I change the storyline of Keen 10 completely. Moreover no Keen 11-12, only Keen 10.
Reasons:
- since Oppressor Keen already has an appearance in Martinez 3 (as he is the final boss there), then I think it has no sense to have a second one in Keen 11-12 as it's enough to defeat Oppressor Keen in Martinez 3
- the various characters would interfere Martinez 1-3 with Keen 11-12 as some characters (like the Glus, the good Slug) have an appearance in Martinez 1-3 as well
- sad to hear I have very bad tiles, but no problem, nothing can be perfect
- the planet name that was planned to be in Keen 12 will be used in Keen 10
- the title of Keen 10 will be changed as well since it'll have a special title like Keen 6 (which you will see in the demo video)
- I'm planning a new platform instead of that "crap yellow-blue platform"
- i'll try to make a better title screen for Keen 10 instead of that crap without hurry
Okay guys. Please read, i'm not lying. Now really not.
I'll reorganize Keen 10. It'll be a Keen 6 mod and its title will be Commander Keen in..."Mirror Menace". I have an idea for the story + Mobiethian will help me with tiles.
P.S. If I finished Mart4, I'll finish this as well!
Should I use some more Keen 9 outtake musics? I asked ZidaneA, Herry Jerry, but still no reply. (And without permission I don't want to use their musics.)
