Some screenshots still in early development. Some shades and others details are still to be added. But I decided to release something since I didn't show anything new for a while.

Yep. Should have known. That vacuum. Quite brilliant. Couldn't have done better myself. Bravo, bravo. Good show. What a combo pack this'll make!

Absolutely stunning.

(I'd make the pavement to be made of solid concrete or smaller pavement stone...you go for something in between - that looks more like a railroad. But that's just my opinion)

This is neat!

In fact, due to how neat it is I'm just going to say the bits I don't like. Because for some reason my opinion thinks it matters. Or I think it matters. One of the two.

Is that house going to stay blue? It's like that sky blue tower sketch in the Simpsons - it doesn't looks like a proper building.

What do you mean smaller? I think larger might be in order. And are the angles of the pavement joins the same as that of the buildings? They looks a little different to me, which is a little strange. But that could just be me.

Tetris-style. Some pavements are like that.

That's one hot mom there :)

The GUI is excellent.

Blue house really? :barf

I like the milk bottles.

The perspective of the small street in the last one isn't looking right. The perspective in the third one is also weird.

Reminds me of April O'Neil, minus the jump suit.

This is looking really good! Amazing visuals!

I hope you don't end up with the same problem I had with my mod, over flowing tile sets. There's only so many tiles you can fit into a tile set when the game is based in the suburbs.

But, this is really outstanding, keep up the good work!

Yes, It did happen. :( Right in the Billy's House level.
I'm now trying to use more repeated tiles.

I will change the pavement to make it larger.
I actually made it look like the pavement of my street, but I'm Portuguese, so it's probably different in my country.

As for the house, I honestly never thought people hated blue houses so much :p
I'll change the color to something else.
Thank you for the feedback :)

Funny, my old house was a pretty similar color. :dead2

If the sky is going to be that same color, though, it would probably be best not to use it for a house.

These screens are looking great.

Yes, It did happen. Right in the Billy's House level.
I keep telling people, judicious mixing of fore and back tiles will save you an incredible amount of space.

Also, you can use the tiles used by the enemy sprites, this gives you dozens of extra tiles.

It's not that I hate blue houses, it's because of the 16 colors limit, most people associate it with the sky. Try mixing blue with light gray maybe.

Yes, repetitive tiles is the art of tiling. Otherwise it's not tiling, it's drawing.
If you want to make an interesting mod - you need to try to be more generic (while allowing as varying use as you can).

Blue house indeed looks too much like sky....maybe add bricks to it?
If you'd alter the palette and add orange - you could make a nice evening sky (orange, brown, yellow), and keep the houses blue.
Or to make a night sky?

But unless you change the sky color - blue house indeed looks too sky-like.
