I did this:Bonevelous wrote:I don't know. I don't quite know how to make Clone Keen work on my computer (win XP... the most I got was the episode menu... ). I ran it with and without dosbox and it works fine either way.DaVince wrote:I'm playing it in CloneKeenPlus, and he doesn't seem to be able to move... Is this normal?
- Make a new folder "chibikeen" in ckp/data.
- Extract ChibiKeen in this folder.
- Copy all CK1 files to this folder too (not overwriting the three from ChibiKeen).
- Add this to games.cfg:
Code: Select all
[ChibiKeen]
Name=ChibiKeen
Path=chibikeen
Episode=1
Am I even supposed to make a second copy of all CK1 data files?
EDIT: By the way, I believe these are either 1.31 or 1.34 data files... I don't remember. Also, I put Keen 1 to 3 in seperate folders in the data folder and identify them as so:
Code: Select all
[Episode 1]
Name=Episode 1 - Marooned on mars
Path=keen1
Episode=1
[Episode 2]
Name=Episode 2 - The earth explodes
Path=keen2
Episode=2
[Episode 3]
Name=Episode 3 - Keen must die
Path=keen3
Episode=3
Wow look at me I'm lurking

This is turning out to be one glitchy endeavor.DaVince wrote:That seems to work... Except he can't walk on most floors (but then again he can walk on the shiny blue things at the beginning of the first level... Weird).
I have no real idea what's wrong.

I still can't get past the episode choice menu. Maybe it's just my old, crappy XP computor?

According to the readme, I have to "Go into the 'Release' folder and drop to the command line." I probably have to make the release folder myself, but I'm not sure what it means by "drop to the command line." I'm not much of a programmer, so yeah...gerstrong wrote:Sorry guys, but isn't the readme file clear enough for the configuration?
You should be able to setup your mods and games with those instructions. If I have to change something on that file, let me know.
You are helping, though, so thanks for your help.
