And maybe a melting Terminator...
Terminator arm sticking out of a crushed presser is more like it.

If I came upon that in a mod, I'd think it would kill me if it got the chance.

Thankfully, there are no terminators, at least yet. I do have some guard robots however...

And a crushing press? Oooh YES! I do need something to flatten you out!

Wasn't Zoltran that guy from the fan movie?
Yes, yes he is, and he's upset about being blasted and all. Also, he's Hungarian, which raises the question of how much Hungarian I should put in the mod.

You wouldn't happen to have a script, perchance? I really couldn't understand what they were saying when the forward-keen left a message for the backward-keen.

I did have once, but it was lost in the crash of '09.

Ok, new topic, the factory's on hold because I can't draw good at all. (Slash one attempt at doing 2.5D tiles too, sorry Ceilick.) I'm working a bit on my ice levels and I've been making a background for them.

Now I *know* the ice is a cheap Cosmo ripoff and the whole level is one of the Standard Video Game Levels, but I wanted some variation (All I had was factory and forest, not good stuff.)

So, I have a background. Not a good background, but a background. And I'm wondering, do I theme this level teal, or purple, or maybe just a purple background with teal ice foreground? I've taken a screenshot of both and I want to know what people think looks better. Other suggestions on how to improve this tileset would also be welcome.

The screenshot is here: http://levellord.toxicsheep.com/sc_003.png

Please give me some feedback people!

Looking good so far. I'm partial to the teal foreground ice, as it goes pretty well with the other colors in the scene.

The teal looks better.

If anything, change the green in the middle to something else. It doesn't look icey enough to me.

Yeah, I'm partial to it as well, as my mod is subtly realistic (Ice is blue, grass stuff is green, and the death rays are all powered by Ni-Cd batteries.) I think I'll go with that.

What colorscheme do you suggest?

That's another idea I'm fond of; I think it looks pretty nice too.

I like the teal myself, mountains are neat too; look like scoops of ice cream.

It has come to my attention that the mod is 'too dark'; therefore I am implementing a plan to put smiley faces at the bottom of particularly grim death traps. Does anyone else have suggestions for brightening up the place? (I am not going to redo a large number of tiles, I like what I have so far.)

There is no such thing as too dark. :goth If you don't think it needs anything, don't add it.

By the way, that 'shot' is looking just great. I like the left ones better.
