Quality vs quantity?

Great! It seems this will go down in history as a pioneering Dreams mod!

Great idea for a level, I hope the world map sprite will be a giant, sliced cake ;)

Also I like the Milky Way background, and the giant candle :)

Very nice! If I'm allowed to give feedback, Keen's hat needs a bit more proper fitting. :)

(By the way, you may want to consider using PNG files for screenshots... Better quality and usually lower file sizes. ;))

Better quality and usually lower file sizes.
In fact, you can get as good quality as PNGs with half the size if you use JPGs with compression level 11 (out of 12 levels) ;)

You can tell him this as many times as you like, believe me, he never listens. I believe he sticks to 24-bit bitmaps like I cling to QBASIC.

16 color PNGs compress very well, especially if you use PNGOut, an awesome little utility. I can get a 16MB 256 color bitmap with dithering down to 2,300Kb, without the slightet bit of data loss.
What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.

The quality will never be "as good" as PNG, because JPG pics always throw away data (lossy) where PNG never will (lossless). The trick is into optimizing the pic, LLa mentioned PNGOut, which is indeed very good.

Update:

Well, I want to finish(at least trying) the mod as soon as possible.
I'm working on the igloo level right now.

I gave idea to Levellass and i'm thinking about sledging field, where the kids are at the background and sledging as a background animation.

So that's all for now.
Yeah, piece of cake!

This reminds me of the Lemmings Christmas Edition that I used to play a lot as a kid. Good work so far! :)
