I think he means that the Koraths are a Dr Seuss reference. The idea's kinda similar too, people building machines that destroy life and ruin the environment, until there's nothing left (well in the Lorax it's propaganda, and if we survived we'd just get used to it.)
Edit: I went to watch "The Lorax" on youtube just now, and I typed in "The Lorath" by accident.
