Stupid References are stupid

Post all your "stupid references are stupid" here.

---

I played dolls with my younger cousin. In the play there was this doll called "Ken". I did a double take cuz I almost thought my cousin said "Keen". This is a Ken:

He kinda just stands there and looks nothing like Commander K, but a nice nod to Keen in the future nonetheless.

Hmm... I think this idea is kind of terrible. :(

Pretty sure this thread should be entitled "Ridiculously unlikely Keen references that are almost counted as spam", and VBB can post all his references here.

Since no one gets it, I might as well just say it: This is an attempt to emphasize the stupidity of all these Keen references threads. So no I'm not serious about this :confused

Commander Spleen: Too many letters.

Sarcasm, irony, and hyperbole are not well received in these parts. (and most parts of the internet)

Especially since a lot of members here don't have the same first language.

Yeah, I caught the irony. My point is that anyone who does this in all seriousness should do so here if they truly cannot contain themselves (which they should).

And then the posts can be instantly deleted by a mod. Problem solved.

Ironically, as a kid I did think of the word Keen when hearing the name Ken (you can't have avoided hearing the name in the 90s). Since there is no "keen"-like word in Finnish, both Keen and Ken were quite foreign as words and in spelling and thus caught my attention.

I used to typo "Kenn" a lot.

So anyway, why is it that the "stupid references are stupid" threads are becoming more common than the stupid reference threads?

First off: I didn't know they're becoming common.
Second: At least me and my friends laughed our asses of.

It seems though, that people here don't appreciate that kind of humor.

EDIT: Remade this thread into a "Stupid References Are Stupid"-Thread, so that misunderstandings such as this won't occur again.

Kinda like the area code in St. Louis Missouri. Has nothing to do with Keen but you can guess what it is anyway. I don't feel compelled to mention all occurrences i notice of the first 3 digits of Pi. Given that Pi existed before Keen and people don't make random references to Pi, except for Keen games themselves.
