If you do, it can end up with odd results such as Keen's head being able to disappear into the ceiling. It can look weird.

I still think we should just stick to the old sprites for Galaxy mods, unless we can improve upon the old sprites somehow. Dark-Ax's sprites would be amazing for a fangame though.

I don't see why. It's all up to the modder. I am sorely tempted to use Xky's sprites in a galaxy mod, the only thing stopping me is I am not sure I can finish the others to as high a standard as he did.

The EGA color pallet was included at the bottom of my attempt.

Here's a Photoshop Colour-Table - this'll make conversions easy...

Let's post our attempts at making it EGA or "Goodbye Galaxy" styled.

Rendered automatically using that Photoshop colour-table I posted earlier...

Edit:
Here are some versions that I've actually put effort into to try and avoid the graininess. I'm just going to link to them because they're bitmas and I don't want to slow down the bb...

32x44 is kind of huge for a Keen sprite in the default engine...

My custom Keen sprite is 16x32, and the default is even smaller than that, isn't it? :\

Edit: The run cycle I have for my avatar is 24x32, and some of the 24 width is purely to keep the animation a static size.
