This is neat. But it would look neater if one could change the formatting and get rid of line-spacing so there's no gray gaps.

Oh man many years ago I wrote a program in quickbasic that displayed 16-color bitmaps in text mode using one of the graphics characters that is the top half of the 8x16 character pixel field thing, and setting the foreground and background colors on that character to produce the appropriate two pixels from the image. I wonder if I still have that hanging around anywhere

I used to draw stuff in dos using alt codes. â–‘â–’â–“â–ˆ Nothing in color though.
