In windoze, hold alt, type in 4 digits with KEYPAD then release alt ☺Levellass wrote:Tell me, how DO people use these fancy alt + whatever combos? Because when I try I get nothing, NOTHING at all.

It's slightly tricky. I just showed this to my Dad yesterday.
A few things to note! Make sure the Number Lock is on.
Sometimes it is unnecessary to let up on alt and the last number key pressed at the same time.
So for instance, say I wanted to make two eighth notes (musically speaking, like this: ♫).
First, press and hold alt (doesn't matter of it's left or right alt), then press 7, then 8--and then press 2 and let up on 2 and alt at the same time.

What is a keypad, eh? Hmmm.. I can't find any words to explain it. It's something like...uh...Arrow Keys and Number Keys combined in a compound chunk of keys often found to the right of the keyboard. Looks like this:

And this is why I shouldn't mess with web browsers:Dr. Kylstein wrote:I think she may be on a laptop. Or one of those compact keyboards that omit the keypad.

My laptop has 4 small (Very small) arrow keys, none of the locks except caps, Fx keys that can only be accessed by holding down left shift (I investigated and have been told this is how the manufacturer made it, no reassignments.) It's quite vexing, I needed to make a no F10 patch for Keen galaxy.
What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.
