OPERATION STARDUST
A collaboration mod for Keen 1 where each member makes a spaceship level that uses graphics (limited to 26 tiles) of his/her own making.

I have some tiles. Gimme level 2.
Only 26? Okay, I can try something... experimental
should there be point items at all? Those are 5 good tiles they would take up.
edit: MAN, when I think about it, one row of tiles is 13 tiles, so the doors and keys would take up an entire row

I edited the main post but I'll say it again: Don't start modding yet! I will send everyone a copy of Keen with the graphics and patches when that is done. Now I'm collecting the team. Precise instructions and details will follow later. Now just relax and wait...

So the level designer can use the backgrounds and collectables in their levels that they will get from you/elsewhere? and you can make up to 26 unique tiles but you can also use the common tiles for the level? And what kind of common tiles will there be? only collectable and a background? sorry if I seem like a retard to have to ask this but I don't believe the information is in your post.
It's a good question. Some graphics -- which aren't yet made -- people can use from "common tiles" that include all collectiables, keys, doors, gray background, different signs and logos (some kind of logo for this evil robot empire)... As said, these are not done yet and nobody should start their level yet. All solid tiles and killer tiles and such, they are the ones you must make yourself. But as said, precise instructions will follow once I have all things done.

Benvolio: I think it will get done sooner than in a year but at least this long a time ensures many can join it.
