I think it's important to recognize people for the contributions over the past few years. Another factor is that there's been talk for quite a while about reviving the awards since there hasn't been one since 2004.
And I also think it'd be neat to have a category for websites, even though the only two I can think of at the moment are KeenWiki and Bipship.
If there's no Keen Awards, somebody could still organise a Keen Competition (sorry if this was already suggested) with a deadline and conditions of entry.
I think we should hold the 2005-08 awards anytime now but wait until early January to do this year's awards since new projects are still being released.

Just to be clear on what I mean by 2005-08 awards, I think we should have separate awards for each year, not a big combined one. We'd just hold all of the voting around the same time. Is this what you meant, too?
Ah I wasn't sure, but yeah, we should definetly wait til january for keen 9 awards.
