I'm not touching that one.Levellass wrote:Does that mean the Vorticon age of consent is 5½ months?

Here's the latest, starring a couple of Vorticons that will be appearing in the next few strips...

I dunno, how do we know they were peaceful before Mortimer? Their women spit fire. Their kids play with giant (and lethal) jumping jacks. They also don't seem to care much that Keen slaughtered his way across their world. For all we know Mortimer simply showed them their violence could be directed towards *other* races. I imagine them like the Silastic Armorfiends of Striterax; they've utterly destroyed anything on their own world so that there are no forests anymore and most of the ground is a purple desert full of weird living cacti-things.
Indeed, I have a HHGtG entry for it:
The Vicious Vorticons of Vorticon VI were and incredibly violent and warlike race who were formerly totally unnotable due to their habit of being violent only to each other. Every Vorticon family lived in a stone house in the middle of a blasted radioactive wasteland on the crumbling remains of an island.
Recently the Vorticons were enslaved by an omnicidal maniac bent on the universal destruction of all intelligent life. This has somewhat softened their demeanor.

What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.
Well, my interpretation on the Keeniverse is hardly canon. And it's true that the game just says they are "not evil" and not explicitly peaceful. I just like the contrast of a group of peaceful beings forced to become violent. Plus, if you look back at strip 49.1, that was part of my explanation of how Mortimer was able to trick them to wear the belts in the first place.Levellass wrote:I dunno, how do we know they were peaceful before Mortimer? It's all just in how you like to interpret things. That's what makes fan fiction fun.
And on that note, here's the next one...

I think it's the Martians who make those trips if I'm not mistaken.Levellass wrote:I'm surprised Keen hasn't 'borrowed' that 'toy', what with it being for kids n' all. (On the other hand maybe it is, they take intergalactic trips for stuffed toys, maybe 'kids stuff' is serious there.)
At any rate, this next comic might give you what you're looking for...

Well, let's just say Keen's curiosity can sometimes get the better of him.chrissifniotis wrote:Wow, first of all I know Keen's a kid but I thought he'd be a bit less...well...rude.
I mean, I'm not NOT saying that.chrissifniotis wrote:Secondly..........are you suggesting Vorticons are Jedi? Or secretly hiding in Super Smash Bros.?
Or I'm just trying to slyly take advantage of the current excitement for the upcoming movie. I'm not above that.
