VGA graphic artists wanted for Keen 4-6 mod

VGA graphic artists wanted for Keen 4-6 mod

Hey!

Before asking anything, I know Mobiethian is one of the artists who can make VGA graphics for Keen mods. (I need his help, too.)
But: Is there anybody else along with Mobiethian who could make me VGA graphics (sprites, platforms, title screen, etc.)?

If so, PM me here and I tell you why I want VGA graphics (since I experimented with Keengraph's LIST.TXT a bit).


EDIT: And of course I don't want anything immediately at this moment, I'm just asking who I can surely count on in VGA artwork theme. :)

Are you sure you don't mean EGA, or is this on one of those new-fangled engines Lemm put together?

No EGA, only VGA, and I didn't know about lemm's "put-together" thing.

Lemm made an engine for Atroxian Realm when it was too big to work, I think.

You can't really do VGA in Keen Galaxy.

I could import the Wolf3d palette into some of the Keen bitmap files as a test and it worked. I just edited the LIST.TXT by pasting the unmasked images under the masked image section and it worked. In short: Unmasked bitmap files now have 256 VGA colours as well. :)

What VBB (probably) menat to say is the the Keen Galaxy engine can't use actual VGA graphics - at least not without massive amounts of patching.

Yes, you may be able to import 256-color graphics, but that doesn't mean you'll actually get those 256 colors in Keen Galaxy. So either you're getting excited about a feature that you haven't even tested properly, or you already have a massively modified version of the Galaxy engine to work with (which, I must admit, would be pretty cool).

Ah, now that's interesting. I looked at wolfenstein 3d tools and it seems... tricky, to say the least. All the sprites have to be 128x128 with the graphic in the center! And importing them is another story... I did export all of wolf3D's sprites somewhere, so I kinda have the resources to work with the template just as you would with keen's graphics.

Wolf3D modder here :)

Wolf3D uses 64x64 art, but Wolf4SDL can support 128x128 as well.
Most Wolf3D mods are still made with 64x64.

There are automatic tools to export all of the art at once, used such script once.
Importing them...it's 1 by 1. But the action itself is easy.

There is also ECwolf you can use as an engine.
