This is where you can post your Commander Keen related stories, artwork, or other stuff that is related to Commander Keen but otherwise doesn't belong in another forum.
It was basically Keen 1 reprogramed with a different protagonist.
I was just remembering that and searched the internet.
Apparently there's no info about it around except the following:
1992 gelang sogar eine kleine Sensation mit "Mopsy" - einem an "Commander Keen" angelehntes Jump n' Run, welche damals sogar Shareware des Monats wurde.
I know it's german: it means that the programer succeeded in making a platformer similar to Keen, which got the title "Shareware of the Month" back in 1992.
I've never played it, but read about it an old German shareware magazine. There was also a screenshot, I immediately had to think of Keen 1. Glad to read that I'm not so only one who knows about, I hope you will find it so that we can play Mopsy, good luck!
Turns out to be harder than I thought to find it. I already dug through my shareware CDs, tomorrow I'll visit my uncle. He has it for sure, because he has everything, but I'm not sure if we'll find it.
It looks actually quite different from what I remembered.
For those who don't read german here's an outline of the story:
Mopsy is Billy's cuddly toy, but as soon as he leaves for his space adventures as Keen, Mopsy becomes alive. The game starts in Billy's room from where you try to get Mopsy to the BwB in order to help Keen on his adventures.
This is shareware, so you might not be able to get to all the levels.
Now that was weird! The first level even had parts of Keen 1's first level! I didn't play far as I honestly didn't like it that much, but some strange stuff -- never seen a platformer where health is reduced if you fall and hit the ground, so you can die if you drop from a high platform. Anyway, thanks for finding it tulip...

That's pretty cool!
I think it's pretty good. It would be nice if there were a translation, though. I also don't really like the whole "you lose health when you fall" thing. And as far as I've played... NO POGO?! NO WEAPONS?!?!
It didn't keep me interested very long, but I wouldn't mind playing it again later. I like the crazy sound effects quite a bit as well.
