I like the block font. Maybe try horizontal yellow/green/white helmet stripes. Or Galaxy style font shading as part of another alternate heading.

Dunno about the cursive. I think it's too much really but if it stays maybe give it a brighter colour and/or remove the black outline?

Just making a short post again - I might not consider myself sufficiently active (as a forums poster) to have the say on the forums' appearance.

I've just tested things from a mobile device and I think it might be best to keep the simplistic font style as is. adding further text graphics probably won't work with smaller screens.

I think it would be neat if we could add a dark mode phpbb extension to switch between a light and a dark interface.
to have an optional light-on-dark scheme for certain situations, like reading in the night might be a please feature. At least I for one find dark mode displays more visually appealing.

Ah yeah, Mortimer theme! We could make a version of the skin with mostly black and dark grey tones, with red highlights, have it be a fully kitted-out inverse of the main theme. Maybe an Omegamatic banner instead of the trees.

I love this idea tbh. It reminds me of something they did on the PPGWorld forum i was on back in 2003. They had a theme for each of the Powerpuff Girls and Buttercup's was black with green highlights. I think that's where my preference for dark themes started.
