KeenK = computer threat?

Post by Fleexy »

My antivirus program, StopSign, detected Trojan.Win32.KillFiles.kj inside a zipped version of KEENK.COM. I really hope it's a false positive, but I can't be sure. Does anybody else have this issue?

It's your mod, how could a trojan get in there? Are trojans slipping themselves into outgoing files? That'd be a pain.

It's not his mod, the mod was made by Karz.

I have the mod since well maybe 2005 on my computer, but I had no alerts at all from Antivir. I'd assume its some kind of false positive. But to be sure, if you got it from bipship, try downloading it also from spatang and keeniverse to see if you get the same message. If all of them give you the same alert, I'd say that it's a false positive.

Do you get the same alert from KeenQ.com? Both coms should be constructed similar.

Ah. For some reason I thought since he'd investigated the file he made it... it's what my logic gets for staying up that late. :dead

Avast says nothing,s o if there is a virus (Avvast is very good.) then possibly it's snuck on on your computer, can you re-download and check a fresh copy? Or WAS that a fresh download, in which case you're probably looking at a false positive.

P.S. Is 'snuck' a word?

Slunk is a word, and so is ain't, but not snuck. I guess it's officially included out.

I've had no problems with it -- no alerts. Run it in DosBox if you're worried.
