InsaLevs 5: Keen 5 insane minimalism competition/collection

Hi, all
I recently became an administrator of the Keen Wiki and was so happy that I decided to start InsaLevs 5. Why not InsaLevs 4? Because I want to use fire helixes.

Create a Keen 5 level that follows these rules:
It must use the foreground and the background tiles of Keen 5's first level
No other sprites except for Keen
No items or decorations
A final door that doesn't need a Keycard

Keen will have infinite lives and infinite shoots.
The level must be done with the newest version of Abiathar. You can download it on its topic or on the Keenwiki

Only one level per person! You can send a replacement to your level if you create a better one, but otherwise it's just one level per Keener! The aim is to showcase Keeners as a whole, not ten levels by the most productive person.
The final deadline is December 1st 2020

You can send your level in a private message or here: aleceneri56@gmail.com

Is it time for another round of InsaLevs yet? We must be getting pretty close to that time.
Such an event will be a disaster without a pre-packaged Keen5 Abaithar mod project here for download. In the absence of such a utility, submissions will be drastically below a comfortable goal of 15+ levels.

Keen Vorticons suits the minimalist criteria very well, not so much with Keen Galaxy because of the 2.5D viewpoint which complicates the tileset. It's almost as if someone needs to Vorticon-ize Keen5 and then proceed from there.

Vorticon-ize Keen5
I am sure this can be done. Biomenace, after all exists. (Though imho it isn't a particularly good game). And of course I can claim to have done something similar when I made "Torgopolis", my Keen4 one level mod. There was some complexity to tile heights and their interface with the Keen sprite. A deft patcher, or a better modder than I am, would probably find solutions to surmount these challenges and avoid having 24 pixel blocks etc.

Are poles part of the tiles of the first level we can use?

Also, I agree that a prepackaged level would that shows what should be used and allow copying/pasting tiles would probably increase the number of submissions.

Also, as there are three levels of difficulty in Keen5, maybe allow sparkies on normal+ and another enemy on hard+, You get infinite shots anyway and it stays a minimal when played on easy?

Yeah. If you want to use it. No enemies. At maximum a goplat. I'll patch only a difficulty

To give me your level with Abiathar you must:
Select your level
Go in Levels and press Export
Send the level

P. S. I want to know the number of the people who make a level so in your post add this
I want to make a level
So I can know who makes a level

You misunderstand me. Take a look at the other InsaLevs threads, like InsaLevs3 for instance.
It has a this: https://abiathar.keenmodding.org/K3Min.zip

the problem with making keen 4-6 insane minimalism levels is that these will feel just like regular levels, but empty. Playing in empty Keen 4-6 levels is not really that fun. Keen 1-3 have different physics. The movement momentum is different. It's more difficult to master and the lack of depth perspective makes them ideal for such minimalism. Whereas in Keen 4-6, besides the super pogo jump, there's nothing much else to do, if there aren't any enemies or different type of obstacles. You also need to specify if you're allowed to use poles, door, switches, bridges. Define which deadly obstacles can be used. Whether impossible bullet jump (travel) can be used or not. And yes, if Fleexy makes a package like the last time, I may try, but no promises as I'm not quite comfortable with using Abiarhar for anything more complex that includes foregrounds/backgrounds.

I could turn InsaLevs 5 into a Keen 1 mod, but we should stop the competition because I have never created a vorticon level so I have to learn how to create one

If you can make a galaxy level, then you can certainly make a vorticon level. It's the same except you need to pay attention to fewer things, like no background/foreground split and no 2.5D.

Well, I have lost the will to do this competition. My intention was to continue the InsaLevs series with Galaxy Mods as well, but since it turned out to be a failure I don't want to continue it anymore. For this I ask an administrator to block the topic. If anyone wants to continue it is free to do so

It's like troublesomekeen said, it's harder to minimalize galaxy.

I think if you're going to do Galaxy, you need to take a different approach. There have been interesting ideas in the past, like that patchwork Keen 6 level that was made of pieces from different people (though that still had poor participation if I recall).

Stuff like: "Make a level no bigger than the size of the screen" or "Make a level with only one enemy type" or "Make a level intended to be played with no ammo," etc.
