What does this auto-op do anyway other than displaying that dot?

When you get opped, you get op privileges 8)

And I think that with the auto-opping of anybody just by the nickname, someone could potentially take advantage of it, join the channel under one of the nicknames, get op privileges, and then take over the channel. So it may be better to avoid auto-opping.

I see, you have to register.

And who would troll our forums?
Maybe I shouldn't ask that... :shockshund

I thought ol' Shocks had turned a new leaf? Perhaps not.. and I guess there will always be others.

Shocks came back as LJH (?) and stopped trolling. Although he hasn't been around in a while.

Don't worry, I turned the bot off. Not that useful all in all.

I'm trying out the Mibbit client right now. Works fine (even if nobody's talking at the moment :dopekeen).

Yeah, I prefer Mibbit over things like ChatZilla; it tells you when people are talking and can be put in a tab of a browser.

I am using ZRC and to me it's good and easy to use.

Anyway, now the channel often has around 10 users, which is a very good thing. It would be nice if more people came though.

Like someone said the channel is not inactive, even though people won't of course talk all day :P

Whenever I'm on, nobody else is.
What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.

There are quiet times. At the moment it seems most people are on during the day for me.

You really need to be able to stay logged in at least semi-permanently to get the most out of it. Then you can have delayed conversations if necessary, or at least keep up with what others have been talking about while you were AFK.

I'm mostly on during daytime which means about 10am-7pm (GMT +1) and sometimes between 10pm-12mn.

It helps to just say something even if noone else does, and see who responds.
