Why are they so bad? I've never had any trouble with them.

If ads bother you that much, use adblock plus for firefox, it works a charm

I never had problems with Mediafire when uploading (I'm not a member), and when downloading something only one ad appeared, either with Firefox or with Chrome.

BTW, nice skin... expecting it for CK4 too. :crazy

Problems with Mediafire?

- ads like crazy - at default window size they fill the whole window
- slow download
- I've gotten corrupt files from it, while mirrors work fine
- popups - lots of 'em

Second worst only to Rapidshare :dead :dead2

Never seen *any* of those, noscript and adblock are your friends. They make many sites so much more bearable.

Rapidshare is still terrible though.

But still, if you're seeking to do mass distribution you need to think about those who don't have those things.
