In that case, just DIR /W

You don't need the P in there.

By the way, I'm still kind of steamed that my post got deleted, especially if it was by the new moderator whom I praised and respected. I don't think my post was insulting in anyway, and I only meant it as constructive criticism since VBB asked me to be more specific.

When I downloaded it, it just gave me a .rar file, no batch.
Combine Garg and Apples in a bowl, simmer over medium heat for several years. Season with a pinch of regret.

*sigh*
.rar is a very common form of archive, use WinRAR or 7-zip to unzip it.

Paramultart: are you looking for this post? Because this is there.

EDIT: Oops, double-post, and VBB locked me into it. Sorry.

I didn't even get to see it so it kinda irks me too. It doesn't strike me as something ceilick would do, and tulip usually gives posts some time to fester before lock/delete. Unless it's a forum stretching broken post.

carry on lads

ALso, I especially liked the music in level 1. It has that prehistoric character to it.

I think some of the tiles could have been made less squarish.

My main criticisms were the Level-Complete world-map tiles, and some of the dithering/detail effects looked extremely chaotic. Although the art technique was good, some of the graphics look extremely gritty and speckled, which really hurts my eyes and makes scrolling / foreground sprites look really awkward.

The sounds also need a complete swap. Hearing Keen1 sounds completely kills the wonderful atmosphere for me.

Everything else is pretty much great, though. The character design is amazing, and most of the game looks very well-done and professional. Reminds me of a classic NES title.

The only administrative action i've taken is giving myself a custom title :P Your post wasn't deleted to my knowledge.
VikingBoyBilly wrote:I was curious about the sloped tiles patch, but then I read there was a bug where you can't put two opposing slopes next to each other and I was worried about what this would do to the tips of the pyramids. I guess some of the hills could have been fine with it though.
Maybe there will be a revision release in the near future.
I was unaware of that issue with the slopes, but I think giving sloped properties to at least some of the slopes would be optimal. And, as opposed to making the pyramid tops solid, I suggest making the slopes masked. Also you could consider making the slopes part of the background and have bananasaurus stand in front of them.

Also agree with Lemm about the song in level 1, and with paramultart concerning the sound effects.

Just downloaded Keenwave and KeenFX. Making PC sounds is something I've never done before so it may take some time for me to produce sounds that aren't horribly grating.
