Martinez McMeyer 1: Cybernetic Dream(v1.0 and v1.1)
As promised I'll make a few more comments now that I finished the game.
It's overall a nice mod, and I think your best work so far. However, it still lacks in some areas you really should focus more when doing your next mod. Especially the level design. I know some people might criticize that you didn't patch the enemies to behave differently, or that the ending looks almost like the original one. But frankly I don't care much about those points, because what ultimately matters is how much fun is the gameplay? And sadly your levels get a little dull after a while. These levels are better than the ones in SMB1 but still a little uniform, patterned and repetitive. Take level 16 for example: You can choose 2 paths, one will lead to death pretty quickly, the other one goes on and on, and there is just nothing happening, the same movement over and over again. The environment isn't bad, I didn't get "long hall syndrom" too often, and I liked the creature exhibition in the secret level.
Overall this deserves a 3/5 and btw I added the level maps on the keenwiki page.

1. There'll be a working download link, which will be the ultimate version since I remade it due to Martinez 2 & 3.DoomJedi wrote:Is there working download link?
Why don't you use dropbox?
Why Moddb page has no download?
2. Martinez 3 will be downloadable via dropbox as well as episode 1 & 2
3. Because the other versions of this mod are no longer valid

I thought the walking out onto the world map thing was intentional and a pretty fun quirk (They're all on cave entrances after all).
Well I already played through v 1.1, and my verdict is it's a huge improvement. The colors look nice this time and the new enemies were cute. I can tell these levels were redesigned to play better (especially that last map). It's easy, but in a good, Keen 1-ish way.
I recorded my entire playthrough expecting to find some issues to point out, but I didn't see anything wrong with this.
And to appease Scarlet's inevitable demand of video footage, I'll go ahead and post it.
