As for the mod, or what little I've seen of it thus far, it looks great. The design is fun and quirky and the mod reminds me at various points of Yorphius II, Bluppo and the Math Rescue undersea levels which are all cool. Your choices of music are interesting...I'm not sure they fit a hundred percent but on the other hand I'm rarely one to disapprove of Zeppelin. Good work!
now this is a great improvement on Aqua Keen1. Levels are original and stimulating - some novel level styles for sure, though the difficulty is not to be sneezed at. Sprites are excellent, better than a lot of other mods... those 'King Neptune' guys (forgive me if they have an official name) are really well drawn and the sharks too. And again the garg-shellfish!
Still a few Keen1 derived tiles but they don't seem to dominate the visuals as much so thumbs up and looking forward to Aqua Keen 3.
Peace out, DAWWWWG! After a few more mods you should change your name to Slaterlion.

I hoped Dawg showed some progress in this creative adventure of modding.
After six months of basic 101, Dawg is ready to move on to v2..01.
I still would like to finish AK3 before (the end of the world)...
After looking at v2 and some other v2mods, I'm confused with the colors...
masking / unmasking??, Also keengraph reports nonfatal errors when
importing...egahead.ck1 sprites widths....
Any feedback who be appreciated.

AK1 is better than AK2. AK2 levels look alike in terms of graphics and level design. There are some "troll" places, but nothing special like in the first episode. Again, a lot of invisible platforms. After a while you get used to this, but it's not my taste. And again, you're showing some potential, but the main game feels unfinished and rushed. The music is worth it, though I recognized the world map one is from a movie. Still, good effort in releasing the mods much more faster than most moders do.
16 colors, but ANY 16 colors you want, see http://www.shikadi.net/keenwiki/Patch:P ... olor_patchAfter looking at v2 and some other v2mods, I'm confused with the colors...
What kind of error exactly? Sprites MUST be a multiple of 8 pixels wide, and they cannot be too big. Also keengraph reports nonfatal errors when

What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.

That reminded me that I needed to upload my new version of that patch and the new TilesetTool to go with it. You can now have different colors every level and have them cycle, in addition to the old features.Levellass wrote:16 colors, but ANY 16 colors you want, see http://www.shikadi.net/keenwiki/Patch:P ... olor_patchAfter looking at v2 and some other v2mods, I'm confused with the colors...
I cannot get this one to run.
It crashes on startup, no error messages, just a funny graphical glitch on the top of the screen.
I'm running this with the latest version of DOSBox, and I also tried running it without DOSBox (something I WOULD NOT do in XP or later OS's under normal circumstances,) nada. I'm stuck here.
