Marta 1: Lunar Quest
Dang, somehow I completely forgot about my neural stunner

Really like the cheese theme with all the mice etc... and the pogo replacement

DoomJedi, thanks for your wonderful comments regarding the mod. VBB and I were very flattered, and he said that your favorable reaction was the best reward he could hope for as a modder.
Thanks to everyone who commented on "the purple cave level", Moonlantis. I worked pretty hard on it. I thought about making an entire spin-off mod based around the idea of this underground city on the moon. Could be a fun project, but probably won't happen unless someone else was interested in helping.
I'm still not sure what the extent of my involvement will be in Marta 2.

Cool nameThanks to everyone who commented on "the purple cave level", Moonlantis.
Still try to pass it...very hard level. Last attempt was yesterday.
I can't stop playing this mod.
What kind of help you need?Could be a fun project, but probably won't happen unless someone else was interested in helping.
Helping how? 'cause that was an awesome tileset. Thanks to everyone who commented on "the purple cave level", Moonlantis. I worked pretty hard on it. What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.
Just started playing this mod, I suspect I'm about halfway through.
I loved the music. Obviously Para's job and it shows. It's subtle but not too much, consistent but not repetitive.
The level design is very solid and fun. I haven't had much trouble with any particular level so far, though the insane movement-heavy (secret?) level had me raging a couple times, especially at the end. There is a lot to explore and the secret passageways always have me excited. Found a number of easter eggs. While they could have been hidden better, I liked it all. The graphics were consistent with the rest of the game, which is always a plus.
I kinda wish the enemies were altered a bit more, then again most of the mods I've played were rather patch-heavy. Graphic-wise, the sprites are original and very well drawn, far better than anything I could do. (duh)
Overall, this is a very enjoyable mod with a great atmosphere and smooth gameplay that keeps you on your toes, yet the difficulty is perfect. And tons of cool secrets.

I didn't do all the tracks. Read endtext.ck1 to see who did which .IMF. Thanks, though.Nospike wrote:I loved the music. Obviously Para's job and it shows. It's subtle but not too much, consistent but not repetitive.

Finally got around completing the mod. I've meant to do that for a while. There's a great deal of cool ideas and details in this mod, like the bunny armor suits for example, the level design is very enjoyable and balanced, the graphics perfectly old-school and pretty good too, and so on. Everything I have to say has been said already and more eloquently. I'll play this again in the future for sure.
