Edit: I mean about the leaving thing. What? I kinda assume that's slightly warped.

Anyone who has followed Spleen's work...at all...whatsoever, can see what's going on here.
Droidkeen is amazing, one of the best minimods. Fantastic concept and the text files alone were a joy to read.
I like how well you were able to make gameplay driven by point items: the story, the short but atmospheric level design in levels 1 and 3, for level 2 the 'minimalism' in level design followed by the 'intricate' nature of each 'point puzzle' made point collection fun and purposeful. I have NEVER been so angry about having to give up on a point item, let alone popcorn. I appreciated the circular level design which allowed me to find the exit and continue to hunt points without having, necessarily, to backtrack.
What I didn't like:
Level 2 was 25% too long. I reached a point where I got so frustrated over a couple point challenges that I just stopped caring about the easy ones too.
Droidkeen's hitbox height is approximately one pixel into you fucling bastard land. May this was on purpose.
Droidkeen's movement speed/momentum was really jarring at first; I was expecting him to move slower and this resulted in a lot of jump-land-overstep and repeats. Again, maybe intentional.
Incredible feature/bug: Droidkeen can exit the bottom of the world map after level 2, and if going offscreen and trying to enter a level, here be dragons.
Final score 397.

Awesome! My heart stopped before I realized I got trolled. This is a cool minimod with an interesting gameplay, neat graphics achieved with a small amount of pixels. Well done. Got 145 if I remember right. I didn't try to collect points, just when throught. Will try to get all later.
Hoping to see OrbKeen this decade.

Wow, this sure improved since I beta tested a few days back.
Why can't you apply that work ethic to OrbKeen?
Anyway, DroidKeen is great, with a surprisingly good storyline.
I can't wait for the sequel, "Keen Drones", where Keen deploys armed hovercrafts to remotely destroy suspected political dissidents on Vorticon VII.

"Father Mabeuf was surveying his plants"
This will truly shine if made into a full mod.
He would have but Commander Bleen was elected instead, so he got to have all the fun.Paramultart wrote:I can't wait for the sequel, "Keen Drones", where Keen deploys armed hovercrafts to remotely destroy suspected political dissidents on Vorticon VII.
What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.
