Where's the other mimrock comic we were promised?
Valentines, once a pagan fertility holiday and now a commercial free-for-all. I have an agreement (And my husband has a tendency) that it will not be celebrated under my roof.
But I still remember his first words to me, just a few years ago, though it seems longer. 'Boy it's hot in here isn't it?' Such a romantic.
So guys, do you have someone special in your life? And if so, are you celebrating this Christmas Mk2 with them this year? I'm a sucker for mushy stories.
What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.

I guess I have to nowadays.
Nothing mushy though as I hate all kind of holidays and keep my contributions to them to the bare minimum.

I don't. I never had.
What, that sound sad? Hey, I don't know what love feels like so I don't particularly miss it.
Wow look at me I'm lurking

I know what it feels like and I don't have it, so I miss it

Me, I deliberately avoid romance. Just for kicks I guess.

I usually buy flowers for my valentine, this year I'm not near enough geographically speaking to give them to her, so an eCard 'll have to do.
You crack me up little buddy!

I've never celebrated Valentine's day in any serious way. The odd cartoon to cash in on the season is about as romantic as it gets. Of course my love still gets kisses and romance, but she gets that every day (ideally). Every day is double-soup Tuesday when I'm with her. (Futurama reference.) She has never seen Valentine's day as a genuine reason to make extra effort to show your love for someone, and was slightly surprised to find that her view did not change whether she was single or in a relationship on Valentine's day.
I know more people who've been dumped on Valentine's day than people who've actually hooked up on February 14. Nothing kills a growing relationship like subjecting it to the impersonal expectations of mandatory, commercialized McRomance.

The level of the singles self pity is extremely high in this topic.

I wouldn't have expected anything else on a web board about an early 90s game starring a nerd.

Seems like me the amount of people who don't care is higher than that...

No. I broke up with my girlfriend of two years a week ago.
I celebrated Valentines Day with my computer. But it's okay, I love my computer <3

I don't pity myself.
I pity everyone who doesn't want to be with me.
I'm so lonely =(
