They probably couldn't find an outside publisher, and weren't willing to publish it themselves. There's also the fact that, at that point, Id was getting a reputation for violent games, which may well have hurt sales of Commander Keen.

I don't think that we should get our hopes up.

It's not like they're gonna make some new keen game.

I just hope that the one demo of that keen 7 or whatnot gets released.

I sure hope they do stuff other than Facebook games.
In my opinion, they are some of the finest game designers in history, and making solely casual Facebook games just feels like a waste of their talent.
