Member since at least 1998 with... ah... some long absences. I was even a moderator at one point. I'll probably keep coming back here and there as long as this place still exists.

as far as i can remember, Romero DOES recognise that it exists... it was supposed to be the title.

Strange. There's a video on youtube with this animation. IIRC it was actually used in some version of Keen Dreams, and it was supposed to show up after you destroy the Dream Machine.

If you compare this to the Keen Dreams intro screen, you can see that he's supposed to wake up, and then be surrounded by those huge veggies who have come to abduct him.

I thought they've been around since Romero posted them in his blog ages ago as graphics that were left over from Dreams. :confused
Edit: They = this picture and some alternative versions of enemies.

Personally, I think the 2nd and 3rd frames of the animation look absolutely terrible. What's up with Keen's hands and why is he wall-eyed?
It almost seems like that image was a direct inspiration for the Shmaynoria title screen.

Just because I stalked the man and convinced him to join a chat-room, that doesn't mean that I'm his friend or that he gives a crap about my mods.

There was no personal conversation had between us, only what you see on the first page of this thread.

Honestly, there are far greater Keen mods than mine, and I doubt even they would be worthy of his attention and time.

If I were to bother him with anything, I would pitch one of my original game ideas, and even then I doubt he would care.
