So I was talking about things that are a waste of resources with my fiance -- such as gold-plated stuff that really don't need gold plating - like at all. Over the course of the conversation, I had said "what's next, a diamond encrusted toilet?"

I've eaten a gold plated easter egg once. It was... unremarkable. Possibly because it wasn't server quality for some reason. (Yeah, your soup kitchens serve goop. Over HERE we get golden easter eggs!)

Really nice to read that thread. I'm pretty sure that as a lurker I read the ezboard in its entirety back then. The PokÃƒÂ©mon bashing is a bit unfortunate... who's to say that the integral notion of PokÃƒÂ©mon is more commercialisable than that of Keen. I think it was just a case of circumstance - timing, sizes/power/wealth of corporations and game platform. Anyway one thing's for sure, the community's interest in 'The Source' has long been borderline religious.
