It was a surprise to me that's for sure. I mean we had a century of warfare, land wars, protests up to this day. The Treaty of Waitangi was just a fancy slip of paper for most of history and then about a decade ago I was chatting to this aboriginal fellow from Aussie and he said 'It would have been nice if we had one of those.'. And that's how I learned of the stolen generation and the reservations and all that jazz. You just never know.

Just because that arguably terrible adaptation was his idea doesn't mean he did it out of spite for the series. I also feel it's highly unfair to blame him for the whole thing.

Adrian did legitimately hated keen, because he's fucling edgy and only into morbid crap because he's emo.

However, John Carmack is the guy who thought a GBC keen was a good idea, so it's not a far stretch to say he doesn't like keen
