Maybe. I dunno. I was just poking around, seeing if I could rip tiles. Unfortunately I've run into some palette problems (which is quite a roadblock in my efforts to recolor Keen's red shirt to purple/pink). It's possible to mod all the graphics, but it'd be extremely difficult to do because the tiles don't line up proper. This game. My gosh. Can't figure out how to flip switches.

In other news today, Bros. gots to give me more customizing powerz.

You're not the only one!

If you have the Wii U game, when custom stage sharing becomes available I'll send you my two Keen stages. Guess where this is! It's from the Vorticon series.

It's happening. The .NET Runtime is coming to Linux! You can read the .NET Team's blog post about the open-source release for more information. Personally, I am very excited about the possibility of developing for other non-Windows OS's using my favorite tools. Exciting times!

Woah, that's really neat! I wonder what else will be open sourced by Microsoft over the year - the company seems to be making a major announcement every other month at present! Maybe Windows? 8)

F# seems like an interesting language, and I'd be cautiously interested, conditional on the platform being made FOSS and cross-platform. Having a JVM competitor would also be nice.

Hey cguys,

I'm really into the "curved" line of monitors. I think they're easier on the eyes and you get the feeling of seeing more. I'm pretty sure it would be awesome for some 3D racing games or FPS/TPS games. Thus I would like my next monitor to be curved. Just found the first one that got my attention:

Samsung's first 27" inch curved monitor

But I have some concerns. Especially when it comes to pixel art and DOS resolution games. I would not like to see a platform game being curved. It won't feel natural as I'm used to flat screens. And with lower resolutions and bigger pixels, the curving will bend too much the graphics. Or imagine if you have to draw straight lines. I don't know. What do you think? Is it worth it?

That's pretty cool. Never gave those curved screens a serious thought. I'd be interested to see how a DOS game looks on it, if curved monitors were rentable. :crazy

Edit: There's this couple that stops by the restaurant when I'm working. The nicest people. I don't know how but we got on the subject of old games. So we talked about this and that, Commander Keen and Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure in between soups and salads. What a treat! Very nice indeed.

Alf is not an alien.

He's a tapir. It's a puppet of a tapir, or tapir muppet.

I just realized this.
