Ah, did I miss something?

You and Paramultart got unbanned much earlier than expected.
I am not aware that he has been banned whatsoever.

To be honest, I was actually unbanned much earlier, but I didn't start posting until recently.
I thought it was strange that Scarlet popped up so soon after I finally felt comfortable visiting this place again.
I am not sure when I was unbanned, but it was not long after July 4th I think. It's not like I was quiet until then.
VBB however knows that you were unbanned shortly after you got (if you got) a ban.

What the is this "Appeal" nonsense? What do you expect, a time machine or something?
That should not be your concern. At the least I hope that I could have an appeal to the admins because I feel that certain unfair things have been done. At the very least things could at least be better explained and more thought could be put into future decisions. This is just "some" possible things that might result from an appeal.
I do not feel that my appeal or that the process of appealing should be public on the forums. It should be strictly between authority and myself. You are not part of that authority so I do not want to discuss these things with you, as I have had more than enough bad experiences with someone who I thought was a friend.

edit/add:
As far as the admins are concerned, this issue has been dealt with and is over. There is no restitution that can be made in the unlikely event that you were dealt with improperly. If you really must get this "significant information" off of your chest, send it to me. Be warned, if it deals with events that occurred on IRC, we don't care.
Hm, the only issue is that my pm box is full. Could you expand its capacity by a bit, or could I email or something like that? Perhaps I could email you and tulip together?
My appeal stuff is only related to the forum issues, not the IRC channel. I feel that some things have been done seriously wrong, that a side who was the bad side got treated like they were the good side and that the good side (me) got unfair treatment.

This is all very simple and I do not see why there is so much discussion about an appeal/more clarification so that the issues would be better understood to myself and admins so that further such issues would not happen again.

Para was banned for a couple of months, and only recently unbanned, much like yourself.
Scarlet wrote:Everyone might be right and might be wrong. I would like to know where/how one can go about doing an appeal for admin conduct on this issue, as I feel that this topic is not a good place for that. Should I email, should I send pms, what do I do? Or there is no such possibility? I feel that I have significant information that have not been considered.

Eh sorry we're posting at rather the same time. :/

edit/add: Certain things that you have said are not true. That will indeed be part of the appeal.

edit/add2: I have gotten a few pms over the full inbox actually. But anyways, I think it would be best if I could email. Perhaps you could pm me an email so that I could email both you and tulip?

Scarlet: I have now made my email public on my forum profile.

EVERYONE: This topic is not for the discussion of the past, just how things can be better handled in the future. I regret forgetting to mention that in my last post. As such, any posts relating to the Scarlet/Para scuffle will be mercilessly pruned. Thanks for your cooperation.

You know..... After reading all that, the only suggestion I have is a rule against spamming someone else's inbox with spam-like messages. I'm not saying anyone ever has or ever will, but it could be another rule just because. I have had some delightful messaging with a few members here and I did notice Inboxes fill up rather fast. Not that I'm complaining or need more space. I'm just saying. ^_^

Yeah, I got one of those today. "LOL!" was the topic and content. :P

i'd like this too

is there any reason why the boxes are only 10 capacity, and we have both an outbox and a sentbox?

maybe raise the box capacities to 25?

The inbox capacity is currently set at 30, and has been for a while. If it's not working properly then...I don't know.

If we're going to do the PM thing, we should probably have rules instated to prohibit problematic users from posting in threads you start, and other similar activity which could be interpreted as passive aggressive behavior.

Better yet, a Block/Ignore function would come quite in handy.

I'm more than willing to forget past events and just move on, but it's hard when others can't shake their petty grudges, going out of their way to stalk forum moderators to whine their hopeless case against you.

Perhaps I should e-mail all the moderators and provide them with my own damning evidences. Then again, maybe I'll listen to this important piece of advice, and go about my day in peace:

Well I'm still hoping that you guys have a little common sense left in you, and adding more and more rules just someone because might actually be stupid enough some day isn't exactly what I'd see as ideal.

I could rant about modern society a bit now, and how every new law is made to lower freedom on the one hand and responsibility on the other of the individuum. The effect of this trend is that the individuum acts less and less responsible or intelligent or however you might call it, resulting in more and more restrictions having to be introduced, while years ago noone would've even though of breaking some boundaries which were there not by laws but only by common sense.

Long story short, I don't want to make you mindless followers of rules, and as long as I don't have to I don't want to introduce rules.

The moral of this story is: You all have a responsibility to keep this place enjoyable, so act with that in mind.

I don't actually see how it lowers responsibility. The real effect is that no one can actually read all of the rules (when was the last time anyone read a TOS, much less a lawbook?), thus no one knows what they are.

I read a few days ago that people are more likely to be jerks online - I agree with you for IRL stuff, Tulip, but it might be that the online world needs to be looked at differently.

Hey. Leave everyone else out of this. I'm the only one without common sense here. Nah, but seriously. I had a good laugh out of that. Much of my hot cereal escaped my mouth. I'm sorry for not being serious, I was only trying to paint a smiley-face on the previous squabble. (:
