The soul is a human construct, you can't use that as a defence.
Anyway, when is a foetus actually considered to be sentient? I believe it's quite late in the pregnancy.
And back to elections: My council elections and mayoral elections just happened. A first-term councillor is this council's first mayor. (Mayors are elected by the council.)

Heh, technically one only needs to win the vote in las vegas by a good margin in order to win the entire state. heh.
edit/add:
Looks like the best placing third party was the libertarian party... with actually, over a million votes. Some 1,150,000ish. That's more than double they got last election.
The greens more than doubled their votes, to about 400,000.

And darn it. My country is so blue.
Blue is traditionally the conservative color actually heh. In most countries it is like that at least. And it was in the US until the 1980s I think. :/

It's strange to me this...in most of the world Red is the color associated with left-wing, even revolutionary or communist ideology. Not so in the United States for whatever reason. Not sure about why that is.

I've driven across the state a couple of times, as my grandfather used to have a ranch outside of Reno. The state has a major population center around Reno/Sparks, a massive population center around Las Vegas, and almost literally nothing in between, which is mostly high desert, salt flats, and largely federally owned territory (a surprisingly large part of Nevada is owned and used by the military for weapons testing alone.)

Could it be because the neo-Con movement was started by former Trotskyites and this is their subtle way of letting voters know that they're sleeper agents still secretly working on the coming communist revolution by destabilizing the current system from within?

Well, Kansas has only the same number of electoral votes (and representative), which means the populations are very similar in size compared to, say New York which has 29, yet the counties in Kansas are much smaller (even accounting for the difference in size between the two states). So, I don't think it's a matter of population.
In the end, it's not important, and doesn't really make a difference. I was just making an observation.
