freedom of speech. i do not like the gop because they are just like the liberal party of australia. they like to build massive loads of money but yet never spend it. you could be in charge of australia for 11 years and never spend the money you mass up by cutting spending and raising taxes. this was the case of john howard and then finally when he left office it took kevin rudd to spend that surplus to save australia from the effects of the gfc, australia got lucky unfortunately america was not spared the brunt at all in fact they were badly effected why? because they overprint the greenback. they always have and always will, whenever there is a slowdown they always print their way out of trouble, no wonder they were badly effected by the gfcFlaose wrote:I think people are more likely to be offended by your anti-Republican signature than anything that you've said in this topic.

I dunno, Rorie. Seems to me that both parties are two different sets of thorns growing on the same bush. I recommend adding an anti democrat image right along side the anti democrat one. It would be like...awesomesauce! Makes sense to me, seeing as how them fellows in the gov' just ain't in it for anyone's best interest but their own. Red just isn't very different from blue anymore.

Well said, troublesomekeen.
I'm intrigued by the fact that you've gone to this great length to hate a political party that isn't from your country, and that isn't even in power in its own country.Rorie wrote:i do not like the gop

Arguable.Lava89 wrote: isn't even in power in its own country
I guess it is valid to have a (strong or otherwise) opinion about a political party or entity regardless of country. We all are tied together on the same ship that is the Earth. No election have no effect outside their jurisdictions. I think this applies from the level of county/borough right up to the entire United States.

You don't want to root around too hard in this subforum, then. Can't get rid of the stuff, it's like mold. Ingrained into everything and only removable with bleach.chrissifniotis wrote:(Let's not bring politics into a forum about an old computer game featuring a child genius traveling to planets with gargs, vorticons and bloogs. )
Are we sufficiently off-topic yet?

The problem is that America tends to so often export its stupid laws to the rest of the world.Lava89 wrote: a political party that isn't from your country

Consider Japan, America legalled the heck out of it when it had the chance and it's still illegal to show genitalia in pornography to this day. Some of their most bizzare traditions have been created by America.
As for the GOP, I'm trying to think they're equal to democrats, I really am, but it's hard to do so when almost everyone in it seems to want to physically violate me then insist it's my fault when that happens.
(Also, guys, Obamacare was a stupid name, but 'obamaquester'? The hell is wrong with you people? Just putting his name in front of everything isn't political debate, it's kindergarten stuff.)
Hitler.
Also, do you know who else believed in climate change?

Offering 3:1 odds for both.

Something a lot of us poor Americans don't have anymore. We get a Go To Jail Free Card if we step too far out of line, and say certain things.Rorie wrote:freedom of speech
According to the records of olden days (like medieval era or thereabouts) it was possible to grow bananas in northern Europe. Not kidding. Not surprised either. But sounds like something to investigate. I always imagined it was very hot back then.Levellass wrote:Also, do you know who else believed in climate change?
