Hey,
Does anybody of you use Klik & Play or Game Factory 2 (or any other game editor) nowadays?
Because I can't stop using them, especially Klik & Play.
Klik & Play, Game Factory 2, etc.

Yeah, piece of cake!

Sorry, somehow that just was so funny. But nothing wrong with using them I'd say. We're all obsessed with different things.

My tradition at Syntax party is to release a Klik & Play cereal demo played directly off my Win95 Think Pad. Two parties running, and this year shall be no exception.
Although they are great tools, I don't use these programs for actual game development these days because they are Windows only and I'm not wasting my time developing something that won't run on ALL the platforms. Although they are still neat for prototyping game ideas, and I had a lot of fun with KnP and TGF exploring lots of different game concepts (mostly unfinished, of course). My best KnP game is still Bumpermaze. It was also my first game, started on Christmas '96 when I got the program after a year of nagging.
GODOT is looking to be promising as a cross-platform alternative, though it is more in keeping with Game Maker, which I never used because also Windows-only but also resource hungry.

Keening_Product was defeated before the game.
