VoxieBox: Holographic Entertainment System

The future is here! Created by Voxon, this is a little glass box that "prints Light in 3D." It can interactively project holograms in multiple colors, so it can be used for playing games.

Ken Silverman, the guy who programmed Ken's Labyrinth and the BUILD engine that was used for Duke 3D, is the chief computer scientist at Voxon. Back in the days of DOS, he and John Carmack were two of the leading figures in the development of 3D graphics for video games. Now, Carmack has been selected as CTO of Oculus. It's fun to see these two masters of the raster display developing new 3D technology in its embryonic stage.

I see Minecraft coming out for that. For now I'm more excited for Hololens and Oculus Rift.

This would be cool if it was a 2.5D vector map box to play HeXen in.
