Another New Member here!
Hello Commander Keen Community
I'm Nisaba.
I've been following this forum for quite some time.
but this year I suddenly decided to become a member and force myself doing a mod.
actually I've already started one back in the day. but after a really bad system-crash I gave up on this project. Now, by looking at this wonderful development of this league, I'm so excited about giving this another shot.
Enthused by all your beautiful and astonishing works - which I truly admire - I felt like I need to give something in return. So hopefully I can contribute something in one way or another. At least a future upcoming mod.
Although I've already glimpsed the tutorial-pages (especially Fleexy's superb Abiathar) hopefully you guys could give me a little bit of extra-help when needed (and I'm sure there is a lot to learn from scratch).
by the way: sorry for my bad English.

Yaaaaay! New members are always welcome.
Welcome aboard, I'm glad you haven't given up on your project. Believe me I have seen loads of discouragement across many projects I had worked on in the past, it takes willpower to get it going again.
Hope to see more from you, and good luck on your project!!!

Welcome!
I'm glad to see you have also registered at Keen:Modding.
If you feel the need to work over story ideas, graphics, gameplay and so on with us, please don't hesitate to do so. Will your first mod be Vorticons- or Galaxy-based?
Your English is fine, don't worry. I was reading Reddit the other day and someone else with good English skills apologised for their writing, to which the OP responded "you're english is fine." Face met palm.

Keening_Product was defeated before the game.

Hey there, Nisaba! Good luck on the modding!
I remember first getting into modding GBA games. At first it seemed impossibly difficult, so I stepped away from it for a while. When I came back to it, everything felt so much easier.
Anyways, glad to have you aboard!

Commander Keen in... Canteloupe Quest!
Well, thanks for all your nice words.
so time & frustrations shouldn't be the fingerpost but patience. so again I'm sticking to my childhood dream of creating an equally lovely keen world.
almost did. but I realized that (for e.g.) Gridlocks Atroxian Realm hasn't still finished yet (EDIT: guess what... Dinner is served!) - but evolves slowly and therefore strongly...GalaxyEyesPhotonDragon wrote:I'm glad you haven't given up on your project.

Thanx for that. I'll surely come back to it.Keening_Product wrote:Welcome!

I'm not sure yet. I've always loved playing both. but of course I'm a little more attracted by the beauty of the galaxy-graphics. And I'm always up to some visual stuff.Keening_Product wrote:Will your first mod be Vorticons- or Galaxy-based?
By this being said, I think I also need to mention that the simplicity of the Vorticon-Series attracts me as well. A combination like this Dr Colossus Mod is to be chosen...
huh... tough question... but I guess I'll start with a Keen 4 mod.
My English skills contain something like:Keening_Product wrote: Your English is fine, don't worry. I was reading Reddit the other day and someone else with good English skills apologised for their writing, to which the OP responded "you're english is fine." Face met palm.
29% knowledge
51% google-translate + erasing the most obvious cruelties (this machine truly sucks!)
20% luck and all your good will
10% math
I guess I'm more the visual type of guy then.

Not everyone's here native is English, which is fine if we can get gross the language barriers with the assist of google-translate or not.
It is mostly Asians that i find can be hard to understand...
It will be interesting to see what you decide to create.
and I'm no longer the newest Keen modder around, so Welcome to PCKF!
also modding should be a passion, not forced.

The Difference Between a Mod and Fan art?, a Fan art is a Concept and a Mod is that Concept put into life.

and that's what it is.
as long as I remember, I'm interested in creating stuff on a given base. modifications, theming, scripting, thinking things in a neat new way... that's what really inspires me.
for me, the most exciting part is not knowing about the result in the first place. so on my modding way I'm always surprised, which challenges and new direction come across.
