Appearing on the left on my phone. Your device might have cached a buggy version - try Ctrl+F5 or clear cache and see if that fixes it?

The forums are now updated to phpBB 3.3.5 and, as of yesterday, PHP 8. The latter upgrade should make pages load faster, but as a relatively new major language/runtime release, it may have some incompatibilities with large applications like phpBB. Please let me know if you notice any strange behavior.

Why are there registered users that are explicitly bots?

Yeah, I've been noticing them too lately. They never seem to go away. It's strange. Just what could they be doing here?

phpBB recognizes some automated web crawlers, like search engines or web research bots. I had rate-limited those two quite a while back, but apparently they're more active now. We don't get any value from Ahrefs or Semrush, so they are hereby blocked. (The change might take a bit before becoming effective.)

Strangely PCKF was noticeably slower in loading for me several days ago, a day or two before the update was posted here. I think it's cleared up today though.

Looks like Amazon [Bot] is the latest persistent "user." We don't even sell anything here.

The upgrade is complete. We now have faster and unbounded (within reason) storage. You may need to flush DNS and/or do a hard reload to reach the new server.
