Heavy Metal
Heavy Metal
does aggressive heavy metal music really influence someone to do something radical like kill them self's or kill others?

Hehe, interesting, I'd like to hear more about that study. As for the actual topic question, I say what I've said a few times now; no effect.

I've heard that somewhere too, Blue.
On topic: I think it doesn't make people wanna go kill themselves or anything that drastic, but I'm sure it does influence some peoples behaviour. I listen to heavy metal (okay.. I listen to everything) and I'm not aggressive or anything, but it seems my buddies who listen to heavy metal are more destructive. Some of them whom I've known since childhood wasn't aggressive at all before listening to heavy metal.

Or then they have got aggressive for some other reasons and just listen to heavy metal because it fits their mood.

Well sorry that I'm hijacking Rorie's topic. Not that it really matters that much because Rorie opens a lot topics:
And that's not even the biggest problem. Most of his topics have very similar social/politic or economic subject (like Bunny pointed out). And there is almost no discussing value because he touches points that everyone agrees or disagrees with. And so most of the topics follow one out of two similar patters: (this is exaggerated and sarcastic! Everyone may feel as much offended by it one likes but IT IS sarcastic!)
-- Patern 1 --
Rorie: I think that child’s rape is totally wrong! What’s your opinion?
Person 1: Yes it’s bad.
Person 2: Yeah!
Person 3: I agree with all of you!
Or
--- pattern 2 –
Rorie: I think that child’s rape isn’t all that bad!
Person 1: No Rorie, you’re wrong!
Person 2: yes you are!
Person 3: I agree with the previous two posters!
In pattern 2 we can sometimes observe the rare occasion that Rorie takes part in the discussion (because it seems that he doesn’t find his own topics that much interesting) in that case the topic continues as follows:
Person 4: Rorie is wrong because argument 1!
Rorie repeats original statement: I disagree, because child’s rape is not that bad!
Person 4: You didn’t react to my argument. You’re wrong because of argument 1 and also argument 2
Rorie: I stand by my opinion, child’s rape is not bad.
Person 4: sigh
So pretty boring huh? I don’t feel like starting this argument in al Rorie’s topics but aren’t there more people that feel this way?
