You mean it is now? I don't see much in the way of PC games, it's all Xbox and Playstation. But maybe I just don't see the right stuff.

I see old-school PC games as free and eco-friendly since they don't make the discs/floppies anymore :)

How is PC gaming doing nowadays? All the ads I've seen have been for console games.

I think the state of PC gaming can be told by the isles of Wal-Mart or Best Buy. I remember, really not that long ago, when a while isle or more would be devoted to PC gaming. Now there is barely a third of an isle, if that, devoted to it. Most of which is dominated by Warcraft or other MMOs.

Yup. Our Walmart has like half an isle devoted to computer software.
Of that, about half is actual software (someone's charging money for OpenOffice??). The rest are games, mostly stuff like WoW, Orange Box, and reeeaally outdated stuff like Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.

EDIT: And no, Mink, this will not help you find me!

Why should brick-and-mortar stores define the state of PC gaming? There's Steam and free games, you know.
