Of course, Keen never had the same following as the famous console platformers Mario and Sonic, naturally the US was more into the Nintendo and Sega consoles. Neither in the US nor in Europe the PC was that popular as a game platform, compared to consoles and home computers in 1990 and 1991 (correct me if I'm wrong). But there weren't many comparable games for DOS then.
