What Music Are You Listening To?
Re: What Music Are You Listening To?
Just found out about Infected Rain from your post. Very congruent with my current interests as I am listening to a lot of Korn at the moment!

Infected Rain, Jinjer, Dehydrated, and Butcher Babies are all female-fronted metal bands. Butcher Babies are from here in the US, the other three are from countries from the former Soviet Union. Dehydrated are from Russia, Infected Rain are from Moldova and Jinjer are from Ukraine. I discovered each of them just this last summer. Jinjer has become one of my favorite bands, just behind Clutch, Metallica, and Suicidal Tendencies.

Soon I will endeavour to check all of those out!
But today, in Ireland we have the rather foolish tradition of calling the 1st of February the start of spring... clearly this is not in keeping with 21st century climate patterns.
At any rate, this song comes to mind - the emotionally harrowing content of the song is congruent with the meteorologically harrowing reality outdoors.

I just listened to Fatboy Slim - The Journey, and boy, is there a familiar melody about 25 seconds in. Any Keen fan will spot it.

Re: What Music Are You Listening To?
All the female fronted heavy metal bands I mentioned earlier all have new records coming out soon. Butcher Babies are coming up with a new album most likely the beginning of next year. Infected Rain's new album Endorphin is coming sometime before the end of the year. Dehydrated is releasing their new EP sometime next month. Jinjer released their Micro EP back in January, because of fan demand they could not afford to stop touring in order to drop a new album, but they also wanted a least a few new songs to play live. So they did the EP and the new album Macro is coming Oct. 25th. Two days ago Jinjer uploaded an official video for one of the new tracks unto Youtube. It is called Judgment (& Punishment).

The Hu... so much Hu.
Always been a fan of Mongolian Throat Singing, but mixed with rock/metal it's very satisfying. Actually went and got their LP

Ah yes one of my good friends introduced me to Hu. Would love to see them live, especially if they were still unknown enough to play an intimate venue.
Speaking of East Asian music, I saw New Order (one of my favourite bands) in Amsterdam two days ago... thry were supported by a chinese band called Stolen who make some ominous electronica and were surprisingly impressive. A lot or their on stage graphics were extremely Keenish and thankfully I found this video om YT to illustrate same (mainly the latter half of the video):
