Yeah... why is she so "popular"?
I've been sent links to her song no fewer than ten times in the last week.

Because she's a meme now.
That's my best guess.

I actually saw the clip on a music channel yesterday for the first time. Some recent low quality Facebook memes begin to make some sense now.
Superlame song, but at least it's not RnB. Well, aside from the typical jarring cross-promotion bit in the middle, but at least it doesn't last long. I can handle bad pop songs. I can't handle cheap imitation rap.

:0 Is that a blow against the awesomeness of Dr. Alban?
Anyway it's interesting to see that for the first time since the invention of mass media you can really choose what to watch/listen to and still the whole world seems to keep listening/looking mainstream dictated music/movies. (It's not as much meant to be a lament as it sounds like, I currently feel very comfortable in my minority behaviour.)
You crack me up little buddy!

nnn. Although that stuff is kinda lame in its own hilarious 90s way, it actually has musical value and is enjoyable to listen to, rather than being a bassline, a drum beat and some "gangsta" trying to show off how fast he can talk.
