It's a neat production that one.

I'll say, for an anime entirely inspired by music it is exceptional. In high school I genuinely had the idea to make an anime on the music I listened to, I even story boarded one.

What was the music you were listening to?

The original post or the anime itself? The anime itself features the entire album Discovery, the post then was about Harder Better Faster Stronger from the album.

Oh, sorry. :dead
The music back then was just albums from Jean Michel Jarre; Oxygene, Equinoxe, Chronologue, Aero. The storyboard was for Oxygene.

Ooooh, I like that album. If you still have the storyboards I'd like to see them.

Have you heard the new album? I can't remember if we've discussed JMJ here before haha.

Recently I started listening to the songs of a Czech pop singer Iveta Bartošová. I normally did not listen to this sort of music, but I really started liking this for some reason, especially the fairy-tale themed, medeival-ish-themed, and emotional songs.

But most importantly, why I am writing this here:
I remade one of her songs into FM/OPL-synth version! Yes, the same synth that Keen and many DOS games music used, with Adlib and Sound Blaster cards. I got the midi version, and used ZDoom's built-in OPL synth emulator to produce the song (since it provides emulation of multiple chips and full stereo panning). I edited many of the instruments (OPL register values of them) to better fit the song. The result sounds really reasonable and interesting, at least I think so :begging

My OPL Synth version:

Here are examples of some other songs from the same album which are my favourites (to fulfil topic of this thread):

Nah, I'm afraid not. But I remember it quite well, a guy drops down into an icy planet and goes through strange experiences in each track, or something like that.

Heard it? I have Oxygene 3. I love it! We haven't really, it's been a long time since I posted here but there was never any actual discussion.

I'll try to imagine a storyline like that next time I listen to the album! :)

I'm still yet to hear it but I'm glad to hear you like it!

Eh, it's just how I feel Oxygene is, the music conjures a very icy, windy feel when I hear it.
If you love Oxygene you'll love Oxygene 3, it does what Oxygene 7-13 did in 1997 and create a similar sound to Oxygene, yet have it's own distinct feel when you hear it. Definitely worth it.

Once again a week of on-call night shifts rolls around and Benvolio gets quite anxious.

To settle the nerves beforehand he grabs a strong coffee, lights up a cigarette on his balcony and selects a few so-called golden oldies with which to accompany his pharmacologic relaxation routine...

BTS's recent Mic Drop and DNA are pretty great. I wish I was coordinated enough to do the dances to them.
