Sufjan Stevens - Chicago (Multiple Personality Disorder version)

In my opinion, this and the acoustic version are some of the best tracks on The Avalanche and arguably better than the version that ended up on Illinois.

oh man Keening_Product, you're getting more interesting by the minute. First guy I've seen around here who knows pre-beatles, non-classical music.

(except mister ragtime Mink maybe)

More seriously, I enjoy Glenn Miller, Louis Jordan, Cab Calloway and various others...

Hey! It's been years and years since I've heard this. I should listen to it again sometime.

I've a new favourite:
The Cure - Disintegration

I listened to it, and then put on an old favourite:
Eric Clapton - Pilgrim

I really really strongly recommend Pilgrim. A masterpiece of serious songs, melancholy yet largely free from self-indulgence, by a great performer who has time and time again reinvented himself. "One Chance", "She's Gone", "Pilgrim" and perhaps best of all the little-heard Dylan tune "Born In Time".

Now I think i'll go off and listen to Disintegration again!

Edit: actually, Tulip
Every now and then I enjoy a lil drone doom.
...do you like the Melvins??

I like The Melvins, particularly Black Santa.
They were Nirvana while Kurt was still jerking off on retarded girls in the woods.
