Why Jar Jar Binks is a good character

Ok ok, hear me out. Everyone hates on this guy, but... I think it's the movie he's in that sucked. I mean let's face it, everyone hates the prequel movies in general. It's not Jar Jar. He likes apples, which is a good character trait, and is a really good swimmer. I think if he was removed from that universe and disassociated with star wars altogether, a video game about Jar Jar binks could be really good. He would need a better voice actor, like John st. John, and make a villain to match him.

Jar jar needs to be given a gun, maybe the demutator gun from ninja turtles, and thus turn things into apples which he can eat. The villain is a giant apple eating worm who ate all the world's apples. So Jar Jar must be put into an FPS RPG MMO platformer strategy puzzle to defeat him by turning his minions into apples. There would be a water world, an ice world, a grass world, and a rock world, all with a new character like a talking reggae palm tree and a farting pineaplle that can talk.

It will be called.... Jar Jar and the NO Apples gang. And maybe a dopefish lives reference thrown in.

Well? :dead2

Liking apples and being able to swim have always been fundamentals in developing deep, interesting characters.

Hey! Great idea! Remove Jar Jar from Star Wars altogether! Episode I might have improved by a miniscule percentage.
Speaking of which, I couldn't quite eliminate Jar Jar from my newest trailer but I tried. Give it a watch: http://youtu.be/uNqjQRC2sZ8

No no no, I mean make the entire Ep 1 movie not exist and just have Jar Jar in his own non-star wars universe.

well im sure many people wish Ep 1 didn't exist. but i think jar jar is ok, i think the main issue with him is that there was too much of a divide with jar jar and the staunch and serious jedi. if jar jar was in the original star wars films he might've fit in better.

He's a jedi? :confused

heh, no i meant how he hangs around with those two serious jedi for most of the film.

The problem many have with J2 is that he didn't fit with the tone of the movies. The movies were a grand and leaden interplay of politics and interests. They were a history, a saga and importantly the pathway that led to the movies we love. That universe had no room for comic relief which is essentially what J2 was.

Had the character been a serious one, possibly showing us more of the culture and behavior of that species then he would have at worst been merely irrelevant and at best an interesting insight into a nonhuman race.

He is not a bad character per se, but a misplaced one.

Also I would note that Anakin's life was utterly, utterly ruined by starring in this movie. See what your fan-hate does? the actor is not the character people! http://www.cracked.com/article_20500_6- ... ap_p2.html

Jar Jar would've been nice if he had a normal intelligence level and correct grammar usage. It's not that his dumbness is offending in any way it's just so unbelievable and obnoxious
