It's one of those mixed opinion things. There are the people who say that the move to 3d was terrible and ruined the Sonic franchise and probably SEGA. Then there are those who absolutely loved the move to 3d, and there are those who really don't mind as long as the gameplay is good. Personally, I've only played the Sonic Heroes PC port out of the 3D games, it wasn't terrible, but I'm sure it's better on a console. Analog sticks, anyone? Also Metal Sonic \o/

Now back on track. Chrono Trigger has such a great soundtrack. It's amazing. Also some of the stuff from the original Command & Conquer, as well as the ubiquitous Hell March - the original incarnation, of course.

Well, the 3d Sonic games are okay, but can't really be compared to the original 2d ones. I think the problem is that they keep trying to come up with something new. If they kept with the standard stuff that was in the first 3 games, but put it in 3d, the games would be great.

I don't like the newer 2d ones, like Sonic Advance and all those. They try to make them like the originals, but they're in a completely different style, and it just ruins them.

The problem isn't that they're being too innovative, it's that it's really lazy innovation. Sonic Team takes a few interesting ideas and then rips off something else.
For example:
In Sonic Unleashed, Robotnik destroyed half of Mobius, and Sonic was mutated into a horrific beast (interesting). Sonic's levels beast form were a lame God of War ripoff (boring).

Hocus Pocus, Commander Keen (especially 5), Wacky Wheels, all the Zelda games, but especially Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time.
I'd like to get a Futurama mod going. Here's what I've got so far:

Mine would be the "Final Fantasy 7 Piano Collections". I do not own a lot of OST's yet, but i just love these beautiful arrangements. Some of the tracks have a few strange movements, but everything fits like a glove :-)

Well, most have already been said.. However:

Shadow Warrior (Build)
Duke Nukem 3D (Build)
Blood (Build)

Starcraft (Especially the Terran themes)
Mission Starlight (Old Mac game.. Maybe VBB has played it)
Wolfenstein and SOD
Doom
Commander Keen (of course, but mostly 4 and 6)
Metroid Prime through Corruption
Call of Duty (starting at 4, and going through Modern Warfare 2)

That last one is interesting; I don't even OWN an Xbox, my friend does.

Why so complicated? Do-re-ti-fa would have worked too. :P

I like http://olremix.org/, though those are all remixes, not original songs. I like the music in EarthBound and Mother 3 a lot if we're talking actual games.
