A Treasure Mountain Secret

Post by RoboBlue »

As a kid, I discovered a secret in Super Solvers: Treasure Mountain that gave you free coins once per game, and a quick search of google indicates that no one else discovered this or found this important enough to post online anywhere. :/
So, here it is:
On the first level, enter the cave.
In the background there should be two rocks jutting out near the floor; stand in front of the right rock and press up. You should enter a nearly empty cavern where jumping is disabled.
Walk right as far as you can, and some free coins will drop into your bag.
I'm not sure if this works on the newer CD version, but it still works fine on the old dos version in dosbox.
Does anyone else remember this game?

Really... That's interesting. Used to play that one a lot as a kid.

Wow, I didn't realise there were so many Super Solvers games. I played Midnight Rescue and Outnumbered plenty, and they were brilliant.

I remember playing Midnight Rescue, Treasure Mountain, and Ancient Empires. Ancient Empires was the most fun of the Super Solvers games I had.

Some art I made of the Super Solvers sprite from Ancient Empires.

What did the antennae do, anyway? Was he an alien?

Not sure. Sorry for the late post.

His special moves were a high jump, a head lamp that shoots a slow moving laser type deal that stuns enemies and activates switches. The 3rd move was a shield that lasted for about 5 seconds, with either 1 or 3 uses I think. Could only select one of those 3 at a time.

So... my only guess is that the antennas have something to do with the shield. There wasn't any radio or any verbal communication that I remember.

Maybe he was a robot that you, the kid at the computer, controlled.

Oh wow. Talk about breaking the 4th wall.

Tricking us into doing work while we play video games. Kind of like that contest thing at the beginning of the Stargate Universe (kid cracks a heavily incrypted door password in a game. Setup by the government to get outside help without disclosing it's purpose).
