Duke Nukem is so manchildish

Post by VikingBoyBilly »

Why did it take me so long to see how empty he is? He runs around saving random babes with big guns and making overt jokes about how badarse he is. He even wrote a book about why he's so great. He has nitros in his teeth and when aliens put him in an electric chair they don't even bother to strap him in and he can just get up and walk out freely. What a mary sue. He just exists for the creator and pubescent teenage boys to live out immature fantasies.
conglaturation, you found the text that reveals this is a semi-joke thread. Duke cooked lots of turkeys in duke 1 and 2. Happy Thanksgiving!

I'd say Duke Nukem was the answer to the silent protagonists of first person shooters that came before him. At least they tried to give him some sort of personality. You don't have to like him or not, all you have to do is shoot. It's as simple as that.

Besides, Duke is awesome because at the end of the third episode he uses the boss' eye as a ball!

Especially because the only way to see it is to quote the original post.

On top of that I'm using a garg windows 95 era monitor so I couldn't see it at all.

So I'm pretty sure my previous post on this thread still applies...

Also, I'm deeply offended. Duke Nukem is my hero and when I grow up I want to make an infrared tripmine maze.

Why wait that long?
What you really need, not what you think you ought to want.
